The Acting principal, Vice principal Academic, Vice principal special duties, Corpers coordinators and welfare officers, Head of departments, Head of Subjects, members of staff, fellow corps members, well wishers in our midst. Good afternoon
It is my pleasure to stand before you and address this gathering at this moment as the corpers liaison officer for the next four month, it is a privilege given to me to serve you and I want to use this medium to promise you the best of my service.
All praise is due to Allah the Lord of the world for His mercies and kindness on us, my dear Batch B corps members this marked the beginning of your new life, you’ve served your father land and you will be discharged in less than 48 hours and you will be left with nothing but what God have for you, on behalf of the corps members I said congratulation to you all and may you have the best Job as you pass out to the labour market.
Fellow corps members, I will like to use this avenue to encourage you all to work hand in hand with the staff in your various departments most especially your HOS and HOD respectively, this can only be achieved when we all return to our departments. It is in view of this that I hereby recommend all corps members to vacate coffee room with immediate effect and return to our various departments and refer to your HOS for assistance to make your stay worthwhile.
However, permit to present to you for the first time in history, Abdulaziz Abdulqudus of the staff school who shall oversee the affair of corps members in the staff school, thereby ensuring that their welfarism is catered for. I will also like to promise the corps members in the staff school that you will be receiving the CLO from time to time, this decision is reached to make the corps members in the staff school feel among.
In conclusion, fellow corps members, the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom I am calling on you all to put your best in giving your students the best, treat them like your sons and also the school management to appreciate us and be God fearing in issues that affect corps members, and to the graduating corps members we love you and we’ll miss you a lot. President elect, our ever committed staff advisers, Fellow members of the executives, The chairman Student Union caretaker committee, The BCBC president and The President elect Rotaract district 9130, the chairman NACJ – UDUS, other presidents present, members of the Board of Directors Jci, members of Board of Directors Rotaract, Jc’s, intending Jc’s , members of press, Danfodites, Well wishers of Jci – Udus, Friend and Guest in our midst I greet you all with the second verse of our value Brotherhood of men transcend the sovereignty of nation.
My names are Jc.(Hon.) Abdulhamid Mustapha the 28th Local organization’s president of this noble organization Junior chamber international, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. It’s my honour my welcome to this great occasion the induction and installation of 29th Lo. President and the board of directors. Junior Chamber international is an humanitarian organization saddled with humanitarian services, leadership training, individual development, business and entrepreneurship development. This noble organization has a vision and mission which to be the leading global network of young active citizens and also to provide development opportunity for young active citizens to create positive change. It is in view of these that JCI always take the lead on this casmpus.
This occasion will mark the end of the 2011 Lo.year, it’s a priviledge given to me to serve as the president in Junior Chamber International Nigeria, until the day I was nominated as the chairman caretaker committee I never thought I will be there, and on assumption of office as the chairman of the committee my members were good enough to stand by and we resolve to constitution of the 28th board of directors for the 2011 Lo. Year during an indoor meeting held on 6th March, 2011 and the in house installation took place during the first General Assembly of the Lo. year .
On assumption of office I presented to the Board of Directors as well the General Assembly the plan of the action of the president for the 2011 Lo. Year with the theme “the future is here be the brand” the plan of action was adopted by the General Assembly and it took effect immedietly and the noble organization was able to execute the following programme for the Lo. Year. Carrier talk show for some selected secondary schools in sokoto, awareness during the matriculation day, review of local organization’s constitution, sending delegate to area A conference, gaining the office collegiate vice chairman Area C, courtesy visit to Noma children Hospital, yaro and Yarinya school enrolment campaign, courtesy visit to motherless babies home, carrier talk show, visitation to school, conduct the first ever in udus a free, fair and credible election and above all the occasion we are here to grace which mark the beginning of 2012 Lo. Year. At this juncture I must congratulate of jci members for the just concluded 2011 Lo. Year.
I must categorically express my sincere appreciation to my parents Alh. Mustapha Zakariyah and Hajia Khadijah Muhammad Mustapha, my beloved brother Hon. Abdullahi Mustapha and all my siblings, I must also acknowledge the effort of all the members of BOD’s, permit to also appreciate the efforts of all jaycees may God reward you abundantly and also a friend who have choose not to be a jaycee but help me in serving humanity Ibrahim Ilyasu, and all those who contributed in one way or the other I thank you all, for the intending jc’s you are welcome jci – udus.
